PRIVATE LESSONS
Printing & Cursive Tutoring

The initial Evaluation and Report using The Print Tool™ (developed by Jan Z. Olsen, OTR and Emily F. Knapton, OTR/L) is $150.  Private lessons thereafter are $60 per hour, with discounts available for multiple sessions.  Lessons are structured using the Handwriting Without Tears© curriculum (HWT©), but with a creative twist.  Children benefit from the addition of multi-media art activities, because, not only does art make learning more fun, it has also been very effective at helping with memory retention and letter formation skills.  The art activities are customized to target each child’s specific skill area needs.  Not every lesson will include art, but usually some type of creative process or multi-sensory experience will be incorporated into the session.  When kids feel happy and excited about learning, things really sink in…and progress is made!  The standard recommendation is to schedule a 1-hour lesson per week until significant improvements have been made. All handwriting lessons are taught by Kim Worthington, BFA / Certified All-level Art Teacher / Certified HWT© Handwriting Specialist / Multi-media Artist. 

Discount Rates for Private Handwriting Lessons (one person, not including supplies; workbooks $12 each):
5 hours paid up-front, rate reduced to $55 per hour
10 hours paid up-front, rate reduced to $50 per hour
15 hours paid up-front, rate reduced to $45 per hour
20 hours paid up-front, rate reduced to $40 per hour
